For the last thirteen years we have been raising, breeding and showing high quality, award winning Suri alpacas. It’s been a wonderful, rewarding adventure. We’ve met many wonderful people and alpacas along the way. However we’ve now reached a place in our lives where we’d like to devote more time and energy to other pursuits. So we are going to reduce our herd to just two or three females that we can agist part of the year while we runaway and play! In the last year we’ve sold a lot of the herd but still have our very best left to sell or keep.All of our suri’s are full Peruvian with the best bloodlines in the industry. While we understand that it is not the ideal time to sell, it is the best time to buy. We have priced these alpacas at prices that will allow a purchaser to benefit over the next few years. We will offer mentoring, additional discounts for volume purchases, and also offer financing.We’re not going away…we still love alpacas!... but we are planning to travel some and spend more time with our children who live on both coasts.Welcome to Alpacas of Wasatch Moon! We’re just minutes from Salt Lake City...in the shadow of the scenic Wasatch Front! Several years ago we saw our first alpacas and were hooked. Ultimately, we ended up in Utah and established our alpaca farm. We love all alpacas …but Suris, with their lusterous aristocratic elegance, have been our passion.- We sought out alpacas with sterling bloodlines and established our breeding herd. In our herd, you’ll find the bloodlines of: Accoyo Gold, Peruvian Ramilo, Peruvian Macgyver, Peruvian Bruxo, Pperuvian Torbio, Accoyo Yoder, Ebony Icon, Aurora’s Borealis, Peruvian Angel, Black Debut of Bolivia, Highlander of Bolivia, and Peruvian Accoyo Starbuck.
- We breed for alpacas with excellent conformation because we believe it is the foundation for general good health and reproductive longevity.
- We strive for the happiest, healthiest alpacas possible! Good temperament, and easy to handle animals is another of our criterias. Handling should be comfortable for both alpacas and humans on our farm.
- Of course, outstanding suri fleece is another criteria. High luster, independent locks, coverage and density are the hallmarks of the unique true suri type. We also breed for diversity of color. Here at Alpacas of Wasatch Moon , it’s important to us that our customers are happy with the alpacas they purchase from us. We practice full disclosure and full reproductive guarantees. We want our customers to succeed! We go out of our way to continue to support them with continuing mentoring services. Our live birth guarantee is for 30 days. We also offer financing.
